Good news for romance anime and cosplay fans: My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 will officially premiere on Crunchyroll on July 5 at 9:30 a.m. PT. The series will be released globally, excluding regions like Japan, China, Korea, and Mongolia.

The cosplay world continues and new emotions
Season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling will continue to explore the relationship between Marin and Gojo as they both delve deeper into the world of cosplay. Marin begins to pursue more difficult concepts, while Gojo increasingly improves his costume design skills. A series of new characters will appear, bringing many challenges, emotions and no shortage of funny situations that make their love story more touching and mature.

My Dress-Up Darling is hot not only because of the emotional element, but also because it hits the taste of modern fans, harmoniously combining rom-com, cosplay, image investment and a very "cool" female lead. Our main character Marin with her passion for cosplay quickly became the "national waifu" thanks to her outstanding and extremely realistic appearance. Season two continues to be produced by CloverWorks with direction from Keisuke Shinohara (BLACKFOX). The script is by Yoriko Tomita (The Elusive Samurai), character design by Kazumasa Ishida and soundtrack composed by Takeshi Nakatsuka promises to bring a complete experience to the audience.

The original manga My Dress-Up Darling by author Shinichi Fukuda started in January 2018 and ended in March 2025, with volume 15 released on July 25 in Japan. The English version is published by Square Enix.
