MSI 2025 is divided into two main stages: Play-in Stage and Bracket Stage.
The 8 strongest teams of MSI 2025 Branch round
The Play-In Stage features four teams, typically the second seeds from the major regions such as the LEC (Europe), LPL (China), LCP (Pacific) and the North American Championship Series (LCS). The teams will compete in a GSL (double elimination) format, where every match counts. The two teams with the best records at the end of this stage will advance to the next stage.
The Split is the playground of the 8 strongest teams. Six of them are automatically qualified by winning the spring split of major regions such as LCK (Korea), LPL, LEC, LCS, LLA and PCS. The remaining two teams are the names that passed the Play-in round.
MSI 2025 First Round Schedule
The bracket stage will take place from July 2nd to July 12th, with the top 8 teams competing in a double elimination bracket. All matches will be Bo5 and use the Fearless Draft system, promising to bring tactical depth and the champion will be revealed after a tense grand final.
