On July 20, 2026, Netflix captured the attention of the global fan community with the unexpected announcement of the first teaser for the special animated film project LEGO One Piece. The official collaboration between the leading toy brand and the Shonen icon promises to bring fresh audiovisual experiences to viewers.
The work, consisting of two parts, is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix on September 29, 2026. This is an exciting spiritual gift that Hobiverse wants to introduce to you while waiting for the next developments of the popular Live-Action series.
Unraveling the Story: "The (Almost) Accurate Truth" from Usopp's Perspective
Instead of following the familiar linear storyline, this special animated project explores a novel perspective from the original work. The core of the story revolves around the sniper Usopp as he recounts the glorious early days of the Straw Hat Pirates in the East Blue to the new crew member, Doctor Chopper.
Under the pen of screenwriters from Shueisha and Atomic Cartoons studio, the journey to conquer the East Blue and prepare to enter the Grand Line will be vividly re-enacted through the exaggerated storytelling style characteristic of "Captain" Usopp.
Of course, with Usopp's personality, the life-and-death battles at Loguetown or Arlong Park will not unfold in the usual way.
Audiences will witness classic action sequences transformed with exaggerated, humorous flair typical of LEGO. This exaggeration will both bring laughter to long-time fans and pique curiosity about the boundary between the sniper's truth and lies.
When Live-Action Stars Transform into LEGO One Piece 2 Bricks
A Unique Voice Acting Reunion
The element that has fans on the edge of their seats is the voice cast for this version.
All the familiar faces from Netflix's hit Live-Action series, such as Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), and Emily Rudd (Nami), have returned to the recording studio.
They will directly voice their own blocky LEGO versions, creating a strong emotional connection for viewers.
The Arrival of New Voice Actors
In addition to the original Straw Hat Pirates, this LEGO One Piece project also welcomes new names from Live-Action Season 2.
Viewers will hear the voice of Charithra Chandran as Princess Vivi, Smoker as portrayed by Callum Kerr, and especially Mikaela Hoover taking on the role of the blue-nosed reindeer Chopper.
What Makes Fans Eager?
From the perspective of a long-time fan, combining the cinematic voices of the Live-Action actors with the blocky LEGO character designs creates an exciting audiovisual experience.
The contrast between the humorous expressions of the LEGO characters and the distinct voices of the actors promises to bring hearty laughs to viewers.
