In part 1, the series showed Sung Jin-Woo's arduous journey, from being the "weakest hunter in the world" until he reawakened (awakened for the second time) to becoming a powerful Shadow Hunter, possessing the ability to summon ghosts. Part 1 ends with Jin-Woo defeating Igris (Red Knights) and his army. He is given a “job”, a new title of Necromancer and summons this army to become his dark army.
