Ichigo Kurosaki is a smart high school student. He is quite handsome and radiant. What makes him special is his ability to see the spirits around him and even Shinigami.
Basic Shinigami form when Zanpakuto is still sealed
Ichigo Kurosaki's transformation into his Shinigami form is quite noticeable. Ichigo wears a black kimono and carries a Zanpakuto at his waist. When sealed, the Zanpakuto resembles a regular Japanese katana.
When the Zanpakuto is unlocked in Shikai form, it releases Zangetsu.
Upon being summoned, the Zanpakuto transforms into Zangetsu, a giant cleaver-like blade nearly as tall as Ichigo. The Zanpakuto's hilt is wrapped in a striking white bandage. Most importantly, in this Shinigami form, Ichigo learns the shikai's unique technique, Getsuga Tensho.
